Supernatural Poster Set Review (And a Doctor Who Giveaway!)

(This is a sponsored review. All Opinions are my own!)

Hey everyone!
(Interested in a Giveaway? Keep reading!)

Most of us have television shows that we've watched for years. Ones we might have grown up with, or at least ones that have been with us for a large portion of our lives. Almost a decade ago, around when I was just starting high school, I was introduced to a show that would stay with me for a really long time.

That show was Supernatural. And I've loved it ever since that first episode.

So you can imagine how excited I felt when I saw these beautiful posters for sale at OutNerdMe.

Picture from here.

These absolutely beautiful posters, titled the Supernatural Inspired Poster Set, have the profile silhouettes of Sam, Dean, and Castiel, from the show Supernatural. Inside these silhouettes are memorable quotes that they have said throughout the many episodes of the show.

For example, some of my favorite quotes included on these posters are:
Sam- "Too precious for this world".
Dean- "Driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cake hole".
Castiel- "This is a den of iniquity, I should not be here".

I was so excited when Stephen, the wonderful person that runs the Etsy Shop, OutNerdMe, offered to send me one of his poster sets. Of course, between all of the wonderful different sets, it was hard to choose! He also graciously offered to send a poster set to me, to giveaway to one of my lucky followers! (More on that soon!)

Wondering why it was so difficult for me to decide? Well, when you see all these posters, I think you can understand why I was so conflicted. Just look at these posters:

BBC Sherlock Inspired Quote 3 Poster Set
Lord of the Rings (Frodo) Inspired Quote Poster
Harry Potter Inspired Quote Poster
Game of Thrones Inspired Quote Poster Set
And this is just a small selection of my favorites. OutNerdMe has tons more posters for sale, and even some t-shirts!

Now, let's move onto the actual review!

First off, communication

He was excellent at communicating with me. All of my questions were answered very quickly and he was very friendly and helpful.

I give communication 5/5.

Shipping:

Shipping was very fast. I got in touch with him six days ago, and he told me that he would mail them out in a couple days. I received the package yesterday. So it really was a very short wait time! I got the package delivered to my door as shown here:

On the right, you can see what it looked like inside the tube. All the posters were together inside a sleeve to protect them. And all of them arrived completely undamaged.

Fast shipping and poster in excellent condition? I give shipping 5/5.

Quality:

Really, my camera doesn't do these beautiful posters justice. The colors for the backgrounds are beautiful, the silhouette is clear and there really isn't any imperfections at all. There were no dents, no scratches, and no wrinkles whatsoever. The quality for these posters are great, so I easily give it 5/5.

I got some nice frames from Walmart (which you can by here, if you'd like to get them for any poster you might want to get from OutNerdMe), and this is the finished result:

I have them set up vertically on the wall next to my window, beside my bed, and they look amazing

So, over all, I give the posters, and OutNerdMe: 5/5.

The whole experience was just really lovely, and I definitely want to buy more of his posters. (Especially that Harry Potter one!)

I highly recommend getting one of his posters, or a set, since the sets are gorgeous. You can 'like' him on Facebook to get all the updates when it comes to his posters, and visit his store to see everything he offers.

Now, time for the giveaway?

Yeah, I think so.

First off, I'm really sorry, but for this giveaway, it's going to be US residents only. I'm really sorry to my followers overseas, but I promise the next giveaway will be for you too! If you're not in the US, but want one of these posters, definitely check out his Etsy shop. He ships worldwide!

For now, I wanted to share a quick update over a couple different sites.

Happy Puppies and Birthday Parties

Hey everyone!

I'm using this post as a way to sort of get you a little caught up with what's been happening in my life lately.

First of all, I got a job! It might only be for the summer, but it could last longer. I've been trying to get a job for a couple years now (though admittedly not as hard as I probably should have been trying), so it feels nice finally getting a job again to make money. (And of course, I fully intend to spoil my readers with some of that money through giveaways!)

Second of all, my sweet little puppy Meeko ended up going to the veterinarian for the first time in a long, long time. If you're worried about him, no need! It was just to get a check up, and make sure he was healthy. He did not enjoy it at all though. Both of my puppies are very shy around strangers, and he was panicking the entire time. Plus, they had to take him out of the room, into the back, to run a couple tests! I felt so bad for him, having to be all alone with stranger.

(Especially since the last time strangers took him away from his family, it was us taking him away from who we bought him from! I was hoping he didn't think we were getting rid of him or something! I felt quite bad for my baby boy.)

The vet came back in and set him on the floor after (what felt like) a very long time. He came running back to us faster than I've ever see him run! And the vet left to get the results. He was happier than I have ever seen him!

(Please excuse my make up-less face. I didn't think I'd be taking pictures, and it was really early! Just focus on the face of that cute little pup!)

Also, both the boyfriend's birthday, and our anniversary happened recently. His party was quite fun. It was his 21st, and he decided to have a theme: Pirates. So of course, I had to dress up.

He had fun making up drinks too. But, I'm not a fan at all of alcohol (and after his first taste, he doesn't care much one way or the other for it), so even though he made a lot of drinks, it was mostly the others at the party that drank them! I thought one of his creations was really neat though, so I had to take a picture:

They're called Harley Quinn and Joker Jello Shots, and you can find the recipe for the Harley Quinn one here: The Drunken Moogle

I had the teeniest little spoonful of the drink, made a disgusted face, and stayed away from them the rest of the night! I told him I'd be happy to have them if he wanted to make them again though, as long as he leaves out the alcohol!

I ended up getting him a necklace based off of a video game, and a stuffed Mabari Hound, both from Bioware's web store for his birthday. He seemed to love them both, so I was, of course, very happy.

Then our anniversary came, and he gave me the prettiest display of flowers:

Then, a few days later he brought me another bouquet of flowers because apparently the first just wasn't good enough!

So yeah, I've been having a fun time. And I'm sorry I neglected my blog for a little bit. I swear I'm going to make it up to you guys soon. Maybe in the form of a giveaway? Very, very soon! Look out for it!

I love you all!

A Donut in my Hair?

Hey everyone!

I'm back, just as I said I would be, to talk to you about my new favorite hairstyle. Now, I had been dying to try out this hair since I saw a video by Venus Angelic entitled: How to do the Perfect Bun. She used a knee high sock that she cut and rolled up to achieve the look, but I didn't have any knee-length socks to do that on.

So, I went to Claire's. I knew Claire's had a pretty wide assortment of hair accessories, so I was hoping they would have something that is apparently referred to as a hair donut. So I walked into Claire's, with my mother since we had just finished enjoying a really wonderful meal at the little Chinese restaurant in the food court, and headed over to their hair accessories.

And I have to say, when it comes to hair accessories, I am completely in love with Claire's. They have just about everything. And after taking entirely too long staring at the flower headbands, debating whether or not they were worth the $10, I finally decided on my two items and hurried home to try them out. And this is what I got:

I am completely in love with this hairstyle now. It's so easy! I literally only have to spend about 5 minutes on my hair. A minute to brush it out, a couple to get my hair up into a ponytail (since I'm really bad at putting my hair into ponytails for some reason), a minute to put on the bun and second elastic, and another minute to pin my hair in place and add the bow. It's the easiest bun I've ever done. And I love how it looks!

I'm really happy with my bow I picked out too. It was much cheaper than the flower headbands/crowns and really cute. Plus, I've been needing a new bow. There were so many pretty colors, I had the hardest time choosing which one to get. But I decided white would go with most of my clothes, so that's the one I ended up with.

That's what the hair donut looks like for those of you that don't know. You just put your ponytail through the middle, and the rest is quite easy. You end up with very nice, neat hair, like this:

The bun is a little large (you can get smaller), but for my hair, a bun that large was basically required to be able to hold such long hair. And I love it anyway.

And that day I was in quite a hair styling mood, so I asked my mom (well, more like pleaded with her) to do her hair in a new way too. She was nice and agreed, and so she would up with hair like this:

I really love ribbon buns. This was my second attempt. The first... well, we just won't go into that, alright? But I was quite proud of my second attempt. From the front, at least. It looks a bit horrible from the back, but nothing that a bit of practice won't fix up. (Hopefully.)

Eventually I'll learn how to do it with my own hair too. Then I'll be really happy.

But there you have it, the donut bun and the hair bow bun. Two of my new favorite hairstyles.

What are your favorite hairstyles?

A New Hairstyle

Hey everyone!

So, after sooo many months of not cutting my hair, I finally updated it. And I sort of love it, so I wanted to share it with you guys. Of course, it's not what I asked for, but it never seems to be when I go get my hair done. I even brought pictures this time, but she did everything opposite of what I showed her.

But I guess it's okay, because it turned out nice, and the woman cutting my hair was very friendly. Even if she told me my hair would look funny if I got my bangs cut at an angle like I wanted them, so she cut them straight across. (I don't really like straight bangs on myself, ha. I think I look a little dorky in it, which makes me jealous of all the beautiful ladies that can pull them off!)

Although, straight bangs are nice for hiding my forehead! I think it flatters my face to hide my forehead. It makes it look like a better shape. What do you think? Here's a comparison:

Of course, the first picture was from a little after Christmas, but that's basically still how my hair looked a few days ago. Just longer. And I got about 3 (or maybe a little more) inches taken off the length. It was a very difficult thing to allow the woman to do. I've been trying to grow my hair out for so long, that even though it was ridiculously long, I still felt the compulsive need to grow it out even more.

But she promised me it would be much healthier if I cut off that much, so I agreed to it. I think it's time to take better care of my hair and not allow to get too dry, so I don't have to take off so much next time!

(Also, I know it looks like it, but the color isn't different! Just the lighting.)

A few more pictures too!

Wow, it feels so much nicer. And my profile looks much better with the bangs. Ha! Can you tell I'm really happy? I just really love bangs.

I also have a new favorite hairstyle I've fallen in love with recently! But I'll share that with you next time.

What's your opinion on bangs? Straight, side swept, or no bangs? Let me know in the comments!
