Button Swap anyone?

So for the past week now I've been trying to get myself familiar with the whole blog universe. Let me tell you, I did not expect this much confusion. I thought I was pretty internet savvy, since I spent far too much time on the internet. But I guess I never took the time to understand all the work that goes into having a blog. (That being said, I have a whole new admiration for all of you bloggers out there

I knew the HTML would be difficult, but I had Google to lean on for support. That's how I spent most of my first days of this week. Find a problem? Google it. I spent a lot of time googling. I'm so glad there are so many helpful blogs and websites out there to help you out with your own.

Blogs like:
Mr. Hubert's Class Blog
Kristarella
Code It Pretty
and so many more!

And then if Google couldn't help me out, I had to fend for myself and keep experimenting until I got it right. Which I'm proud to say happened at least 2/3 of the time. Or almost that much anyway. Close enough!

But after getting the HTML down, I had to learn this new (at first very confusing) language of the bloggers. I learned what GFC stood for (thanks Rocketraptor!), what Bloglovin' is, what on earth a button is, what sponsors are, button swaps, and so much more that just went completely over my head.

But the button thing did interest me! I mean, how cool! You can support other blogs that you love, and other blogs can support you. That's one of the things I probably like most about blogs. Everyone is always ready to help each other out. So I created a section at my sidebar for just that! I'd love to help out my fellow bloggers in anyway I can, so if you'd like me to display your button just leave a comment here and let me know!

I only ask that you help me and support my blog too. I'm a pretty new blogger after all, and need all the help I can get! I created my buttons in a variety of sizes (is there a standard size blogs prefer that I don't know about? I feel like there's more to this button thing than I understand). Once you have my button on your site, let me know down below and I'll be happy to support your blog too!

Don't see the size you want?
Send me an email ( citrusprincess@ymail.com ) with your size preference and I'll send you the perfect size for your blog!

If you want to give me your opinion on my button, I'd appreciate that too! I wasn't sure exactly how my button should look, so I took out my camera and just decided to wing it. Maybe I should have just gone with designing something simple in Photoshop though? Your advice would be extremely appreciated! I'm such a newb. ._.

Oh! And I figured Bloglovin' out! At least, I think I did. Is it normal to follow people on both Bloglovin' and GFC? Or would I just come off as this psycho stalker lady? I feel like this is something very important to find out.. Anyway! Click this to ---> Follow my blog with Bloglovin . I'll also create a little icon at the top of my blog, since I understand a lot of people like to use Bloglovin'.

Oh, and since this post is all about supporting fellow bloggers, I wanted to let you guys know about a couple great giveaways that blogs I follow are doing right now!

Rocketraptor is doing an awesome giveaway, with a pair of super cute sunglasses up for grabs! You can find out more in the link below:
Rocketraptor v1.2 Giveaway

My Kawaii Secret is also doing a giveaway for your choice of a pair of glasses/sunglasses from Firmoo! Both prescription and non-prescription is available! Find out more at this link:

So if you're in need of some cute eyewear, I'd definitely check out the above giveaways! :) If I find anymore awesome giveaways for you guys, I'll be sure to let you know!

Until Next Time,
Bye Lovelies! ♥

  1. I know how you feel, I felt the same way when I first started and I'm still learning every day. Who would've thought blogging would be so difficult?

I really like your button! I love the text in it :)

I'd do a button swap with you but since I don't have buttons, how about a link exchange instead? :)

    1. Aw, thank you :) I'm glad to know the button actually looks nice, haha!
And I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what you mean by 'link exchange' ._.
But I checked out your blog and I really like it! I followed :)

    2. Link exchange is when I post your blog's URL on my page and you post mine on yours. It's basically like button swap minus the buttons ;)

You can see what I mean on my blog, under "Connections" on the right hand side. Let me know if you're still interested!

    3. I wouldn't mind if you put my url there. Would you mind if I just made a simple button with the name of your blog, rather than a url? c:
